I am notorious for starting something, getting deep into it and simply not being 100% sure what I should be doing. I completely understand where you are at, and agree a sewing table would be nice! Also, most sewing machines have a sewing foot that you can buy that will sew an exact 1/4 inch seam. This will be VERY helpful to you as you put your quilt together. Good luck!
