A peek into my life, uncut

Tonight we decided to get Addison a much-needed new crib. We had intended to co-sleep but she had other plans. I think six months sharing a bed with a half dozen other babies was all the co-sleeping she could handle. She is a restless and generally pissed-off sleeper even in her crib but she’s much crankier in our bed.

So we bought a crib and she helped us assemble.

You get the bad with the good. First the outtakes :-) Addison had just pulled herself up on the crib while we were working on it and I wanted to get video. So I pulled out the camera, fired it up and then went to sit and get comfy. But I sat on a…ahem…boom-box. And then I lost my balance because it, well, HURT! I took the entire crib down with me but the important thing is I did NOT stop taping :-)

and then later, after I regained my composure:

And onto my now-tardy gratefulness for yesterday and today (I’ll be brief):

- Yesterday I secured press passes for this awesome exhibit that is strolling through town. I really wanted to go but the price of tickets? GASP!!!!!! So now I can go. I think I’m doing the wildly unpopular thing and taking Noah. Yes he’s only almost 5. And no, I do not think my 9 year old can handle it and I question the ability of my 12 year old to handle it either. But every kid is cut from a different cloth. It just so happens Noah is, as he told me today, “Like totally Body-Addicted”. He also has some blatantly honest views about death and corpses. He’s ready. Maybe more ready than I am. So yay for Press Passes.

- Today Teegan is HEALTHY! He has had the stomach flu for two days straight. I think it may be the only time in his 9 years of life he has ever had the stomach flu. It wasn’t fun for him. He was miserable. I am so thankful that he finally feels better and has his energy and his appetite back. And also thankful that, so far, no one else seems to be getting sick!
