Quiet? You’ll thank me!
I have been quiet becuase I’m feeling like quite the whiner. Most of the time my attitude sucks and the rest of the time I’m distracted so I don’t realize my attitude sucks. I’m not handling this whole “we are broke, we are screwed” bit very well. I have gotten the impression I’m supposed to just “have faith” and “things happen for a reason” and while I may agree with that WHEN THINGS HAPPEN, at the moment, things are not really happening. The phone isn’t ringing off the hook. No one is “almost” ready to make an offer. I have a huge vent about the old company but can’t get into it quite yet.
On top of the regular “we are broke, we are screwed” stress, haha, also we have some sort of Plague scurrying throughout the home. I’m not even sure how to describe it. It has something to do with a fever, cold symptoms and also diarrhea and a single incident of vomiting per child. I have no idea if there are a few colds going through the house or if it is just one really whacked out virus. Either way, DH and I are dying from lack of sleep. Slowly, gradually, we are dying. I am sure of it. Last night, alone, we had two kids hacking up a lung all night, one healthy-but-still-night-waking baby, one kid with agonizing moan-every-30-seconds-all-night-long stomach pains of unknown origin and two very cranky parents who are up essentially all night long.
Things aren’t all bad. Amidst the dramatic “we are broke, we are screwed” chaos and “hack hack, we are dying” illness, there is an undertone of happy kids. Believe it or not. The baby is some sort of crazy cuteness all quick with the crawling and exploring and getting into trouble of various sorts. She is one fat chunk of baby chub these days, which we especially love.
Today Paige won the school-wide spelling bee! She is one of those naturally gifted spellers so it isn’t a big surprise to us but she seemed surprised to have won the *class-wide* bee last week so I know she is going to be giddy with pride over this. Next she will go on to the county-wide bee in a few weeks.
Tony will be making another radio appearance and is working on a really impressive book deal.
And one more thing: Does anyone watch Scrubs? If so, did you see the Musical episode where the entire episode was done as a Musical? We are considering doing this in our house one day for no other reason than to be incredibly annoying. Maybe we’ll do it like they did in Scrubs and just target one particular person in our family and ONLY speak in song when that person enters the room. Haha. We have entirely too much time on our hands. But this makes me happy.
Also if you think your kids are naughty or generally misbehaving or you wonder just how smart your advanced child really is, now you have someone to compare it to . As parents of two 9 year olds, this story completely confounds me. I mean every detail of it. Should I be proud or embarrassed that my kids can barely get their booster seat belts attached at the age of 9?! haha This kid is in a league of his own!

hey girl. go ahead and whine and vent away. I completely understand, having been there, done that, and hated every minute of it.
And let me know when you list some things on ebay…I am an ebay junkie. And if you happen to want to make and sell one of those adorable carriers (from your previous post) give me a yell. I have no crafty, sewy skills at all, so I am dependent on people like you who are.
