News, Shoutouts, Congrats

I forgot to mention with all the hubbub that Addison got her third tooth! I thought teeth generally come in pairs but not so for Miss Addy-Mai.

Also she has started taking her first tentative steps. I am pretty sure she’ll be walking by this time next month. She is excited and proud. She takes two bitty baby steps and then falls into my arms and claps for herself. ADORABLE!

I was tagged by Bunny’s Mom to discuss the top 10 odd things about me. I’ve done something similar in the past but I’m just weird enough that I can do it again! Haha. So look forward to that goodness tomorrow.

I want to send a congratulatory shout out to my friend Kimmi who is my hero, by far the funniest person I know and also practically famous now on the Internet :-). Aside from being an all around amazing, inspirational and insightful mama, she is a true warrior. She recently gave birth to her 5th baby which, in and of itself, is a true accomplishment. But this was no ordinary birth. Kimmi was called to give birth at home. She often had strong intuitions that she absolutely MUST NOT birth in a hospital. Again, this is pretty awesome I think. I can relate to that intuition becuase Noah was born at home. But Kimmi had never actually given birth vaginally. She had 4 - count em FOUR - c-sections. But this time was different. She worked really REALLY hard to find a doctor or midwife who would support her, believe in her and help her reach her goal. And recently she gave birth to the sweetest little baby girl you could ever imagine, during an unbelievably short and uncomplicated birth right in her home. She did it! Her body is amazing and I’m so impressed at her ability to really hear her intuition.

Another congrats to Fo(u)rt Robinson that is soon to be five strong! Nicole and I go way back (as far back as this blog goes, anyway) and I couldn’t be more thrilled to know that she is expecting another baby.

To all the mamas who got referrals and have traveled to meet their new family members, congrats! It is an amazing journey, isn’t it? I have been following along, even when I’m too busy to comment.

And most of all, a special shout out to my dear friend, Leslie, who did not die today and will not die tomorrow. I love you, Les!!!
