The Animals: They Don’t Love Me Here

So my tale of Animal Magic has seemingly come to an end. I have yet to see anything qualifying as wildlife. I have to say I miss the crazy beasts. It isn’t that the wildlife isn’t out there. The boys have seen some things: a snake, a lizard or two, lots of fish and turtles. Me? Nothing. Except some squirrels which, well, squirrels aren’t wildlife. And they run from me anyway.

The neighbors swear there are armadillos so what I did was get me a book on armadillos from the library. I’m thinking of planting some vegetables just to attract them to my yard. haha. They also swear there are lizards and stuff. Apparently it is just too “cold” right now. I have also not seen a deer at all. Sniff. They hate me. I even look in my pool filter every day and we have yet to lure in a frog, even! haha.

Oh but yesterday my friend taught us all about fire ants. That was really exciting. Not. I think that and the nesting dove next door are all I get for now.

      Snake????????? EEEEEEEEEK!
You haven’t seen a deer yet? That is weird!
And no other animals? Even weirder LOL
What about Turkey Buzzards? Thems Texas Turkeys LOL. I see a dead armadillo almost everytime I drive down the highway. I used to see them hobblin along at the lakehouse too and with a herd of 30 deer right behind him LOL. Come to visit me and I’ll take you to Hill Country and you’ll see 30 deer in one fell swoop :-) Hell you might even see a mountain lion or two :-)

Oh and I forgot to add…
Fire ants suck! I am so scared of them. I get bit by one and not only does it sting like an SOB but it swells to the size of a half dollar. BUT I do like walking up to a hill and poking it with a stick to see them all scatter LOL. A tiny hill yields 7 million scared little biters LOL. I should add that if you poke a hill, look at the ants and run far away LOL
