I’m A Thinking Blogger!
I was nominated for the Thinking Blogger award by Michelle and Mrs. Broccoli Guy and also sort of by Nicole
I love this award becuase it requires that you pay it forward when you receive the award. I try to be a thinking blogger (most days) but really I’m totally inspired by others. I love the blogosphere. I have almost entirely given up mailing lists and email since falling in love with this world ‘o blogs a few years ago.
I had intended to nominate Mrs. Broccoli Guy before she nominated me so, sorry, she gets my first nomination anyway. She has written the most thought-provoking posts on ethics and adoption issues. She is my inspiration, she keeps me thinking. If there were some grand poobah of Thinking Bloggers, she would be it. Plus she wrote one of my all-time favorite most-thinkingest blog entries of all times
Kimmi gets my second nomination. The girl is a virtual encyclopedia of Life Experiences and she is happy to share them all with wit and humor. She isn’t all know-it-ally or judgmental-y even though she knows it all!! One day she will author a book and it will be so insane that it will be a best seller. On top of moving gracefully beyond a very difficult childhood, she continues to parent with grace and wisdom that I strive for every day.
My third nomination goes to Looking For George. This blog is full of wisdom and introspection. I know that anyone who has opposite opinions about politics, religion and other ‘hot’ topics yet keeps me grasping for more is a person full of wisdom and a blog worth reading. This isn’t the only reason I read this blog - it cracks me the heck up too. I think we might have the same group of kids, we just don’t know it.
Leslie, from My Life Transplanted, gets my fourth nomination. Leslie is a dear friend, in real life, but also an exceptional writer. Before she started blogging I had no idea what a talented writer she was. Even her really silly blogs about how she feels sick or the weather is crappy end up making me think.
Teresa from On our Own gets my fifth nomination. This is a new blog I read that I’m totally inspired by. She is living the life I WANT to live because she just up and decided to do it. By herself. With her two kids. In Vietnam. Never mind how she is living her life, she is also blogging it along the way and her blogs definitely give me pause to think.
It is hard to pick just 5, I read hundreds of blogs and live and die by my Bloglines account. So please, everyone, keep thinking and blogging becuase it’s how I get my intellectual fill everyday becuase, um, Neopets & Flintstones just doesn’t do it for me.

I totally nominate you! But you had already been nominated so I had to find others. I couldn’t make you too big-headed by double nominating you. ahah
