Hooked On Bloglines

Today I realized I have a bloglines addiction. I know internet addictions are no new thing but I have the newest latest greatest version of such: the Bloglines Addiction.

I can’t shake it, man. I can’t let it go!

Today I was scrolling through my long list of….gulp…169 blogs that I follow and…pause…let me just let that sink in for a minute. 169 blogs.

And I was noticing that out of those blogs, some don’t update anymore, some have moved to new sites. But there are others that I just never ever go to. I subscribe, thinking I probably will have leisure time to read. But I don’t have leisure time. And when I do, I like to drink heavily. Just kidding. I like to do other things like swim or read magazines or follow my favorite blogs. And yet…

And yet I can’t bring myself to unsubscribe! I might miss something! Of course I wouldn’t KNOW if I miss anything because I never read the feed to find out. But I might forget about the website entirely and some day I might need it. Or something.

I’m like an RSS feed pack-rat! Oh the clutter!

Now, mind you, I’m organized. I have my bloglines organized by type. Even my adoption blogs are organized by waiting, referred and traveling/traveled.

But 169 blogs that I can’t click “unsubscribe” to. Where is my 12 step program?

And if you need a 12 step program yourself, please follow this link to my other blog project and read today’s entry about unethical agencies and hard to place children. I’d love to hear what you would do.

I have 112 and still searching for more! :) I know what you mean about being addicted. I know one of these days my boss is going to catch me checking out Google Reader while I should be writing a Pulitzer Prize winning article! :)

Glad to know I’m not the only one who sorts & catergorizes adoption blogs. :)

    4. Paige Says:

I have three, but I bet that if I knew as many bloggers as you do I would follow just as many, if not even more!

I have none. I just remember to go and check em out. And yes, I am one who never updates LOL. I am getting scathing emails from people to update and that makes me want to do it even less. Me be rebel :-)

OK, can you please come and help me? I havn’t bothered to learn that google reader thing, so I just endlessly click on the ones I like as I pass by the computer to see if they are updated. Not a very good use of time–plus I am sure people think I am a stalker.

LOL! I just added your other Blog to my list….I am totally addicted! My husband thinks I am crazy and asks, “don’t you ever get bored with this?”. Not when I have so many blogs to keep up with…Ha!! Even the ones that don’t update. I just spent an hour clearing those out. I can already feel the “shakes” comming on! What if I miss something?!!
