Road-Trippin’

Well in a few hours we’ll be hauling our tired selves out of bed and into the van and taking off for the great North. It will be a LONG drive - probably a full 24 hours or more with stops. As long as we make it by Friday at dinner time for our great Vietnam Blogger dinner we are having in Columbus, I’ll be thrilled. I am beyond excited to meet these families. These are are My People. I already feel like I know them all, I love them all. You know if I am packing up my 4 little kids and driving 24 straight hours to meet a few families that they are pretty special to me. My People. :-)

On Saturday we hit the Asian Festival in Columbus where my sole (haha - I’m so punny) goal is to buy Squeaky Shoes and Filipino Eggrolls. I am sure there will be much purchasing. I remember last year wandering around dreaming of my little girl, this year I’ll be chasing her around the grass (GRASS! Oh how 3 months away from the midwest has made me miss GRASS! REAL GREEN GRASS!!!!). I can not wait.

Sunday is our agency picnic which I am attending along with a few of my People. It’s at the zoo so it will be double happiness :-) I love the Columbus zoo.

In between it all I have two plans. One is to see my good friend, Heather, who lives in Columbus and who I managed to miss last year thanks to her drunken stupor (just checking to see if she really reads my blog once a week like she claims to!!). The other is to hang out with any of my People who are willing and party myself into a drunken stupor. Or something like that. I’m not really that crazy. Or am I?!?! :-)

Wish me luck. If all goes as planned, the rain will hold out, the weather will be phenom and the kids will sleep all 20 hours in the car! I am a GREAT planner :-)
Yes, I’ll be blogging! With pictures!

Wishing I was headed to the zoo on sunday just to see some more families that look like us…the older two LOVE to see families that look like us.
