Two Dads I Love
Today is Daddy’s Day and I’m finally feeling better which means I really get to celebrate the two Daddies in my life!
Happy Father’s Day to my Dad. I am so proud of him and his venture across the country. He’s an inspiration to me and anyone who meets him. I wish I could be there with him today. He’s a super-cool guy. One of those handy types who does it all himself and seems to know a little something about everything. He has taught me, through his actions, not to let life pass you by while you sit idly and watch it. He’s a go-getter, he makes a plan and sees it through. And he isn’t afraid to let you see him cry.
And the other Dad in my life, my wonderful amazing husband. My best friend. My rock. The one who gets up every single night of Addison’s life - over and over and over - to give her a bottle and rock her to sleep and STILL lets me sleep in the next day. The one who works from home whenever possible so he can watch his babies grow. The one who works his ass off so I can stay home and raise our kids, home-school and still humors my desire for more children. The one who makes us dinner every single night, the one who does the dishes every day. The one who plays “steam roller” and “Wrestlemania” and who, right this very minute on HIS day is out taking the kids to a movie. The one who walked 4 kids, including our new baby girl in the sling around his back, around the streets of Hanoi and immersed them in the culture all by himself when I was too sick to join. The one who took our family across the US to better opportunities and happiness the likes of which we had not known for almost a decade. I may get the ideas but he makes things happen.

Thank you Sunshine. You make it easy. The number one thing that makes me a better Father is that I have partnered with the best Mother their is. I couldn’t do it without you. I love you.

Thanks Nea, You did it again…made me cry that is. I warms your old dad’s heart with your heart felt thoughts of Tony and I, especially Tony. Parents are the happiest when their kids are happy and appreciative. Both you and Joby have warmed our hearts many times. I may be a little sentalmental but I have saved all our heart felt notes and cards. Some day in the future you should read them as I do on occasion. A good cry once in a while clears out all the junk and puts what’s important in your eye’s view. I love you Nic…You are a wonderful mom!! Love, Dad
