A Teeny Tiny Pony

Yesterday we got wind that the World’s Smallest Horse would be making an appearance here in our little town in order to raise funds for charity. Apparently the horse, named Thumbelina, is on tour. My boys, ever interested in All Things World Record, could be convinced to go and my two little ones, lovers of All Things Tiny, would love it.

Or not. Because we got there and oh.my.gosh THE LINES!!!! Miles of turn-style type lines. And oh.my.gosh THE HEAT!

It went a little like this:

First we must have Starbucks:
We start 'em young

Next we must stand in line to buy tickets to bypass the line (for real):
Waiting Our Turn

Except Baby Doesn’t Do Lines. Not even Lines to bypass the Line:
C'mon! No more standing around, ok?

Around this time, OH THE HEAT:
It's really really hot

And the BOREDOM:
It's Hot

And the NEED FOR A NAP:
Seriously, it's hot

Seriously? What’s so fun about a Tiny Horse anyway?
This is so not fun, people!

Finally, it’s our turn! Yay! Except Thumbelina is, haha, tired and hot too! So they ruuuush us through and get us in and out and on our way in the blink of an eye and I got this barely-picture:
Tiny Horse

Noah says “That Tiny Pony wasn’t that exciting.” And the kids were all “YAY! Can we go home now? AND NEVER LEAVE AGAIN?” but I had a secret! NO! We can’t go home until I get one decent family picture! Hahahahaha

Kiddos

Oh well, they can’t all be Disney-Perfect experiences, right?

I know what Noah was thinking the WHOLE time:”I’ve got smaller ponies than this at home. They’re called MyLittle Ponies!” :D Sorry you didn’t have much fun, though.

Too funny. Family outings can be oh so much fun. :D

First of all, that whole “Disney perfect” hype… I’ve been to that hell hole about 10 unfortunate times and it never came even close to that whole “perfect” part. Personally, I’d take a poke in the eye with a dull stick any day. But Thumbalina sounded equally miserable. Totally worth it for the pictures though!! Addy looks like a little movie start drinking her Starbucks with sunglasses on!

Don’t you just hate it when your day goes NOTHING like you expect it to?!?! Cute pictures! Hope you are all doing well and enjoying the end of summer.
