It’s Here! It’s Here!!
I’ve been so down in the dumps lately and I’ve tried to blog it but it is all just too big to even get out on paper. Yesterday was a yucky-blucky no good very bad day. Lots of confrontation and pissing people off - both things I absolutely can’t stand. Lots of issues in adoptions right now that just suck all the energy out of me. I feel it all very emotionally and it exhausts me. I have a child turning into a teenager and a child’s first Family Day looming very closely ahead….both things I’m excited but also feel bittersweet about. Plus Addy turns 18 months old in a few days and I’m not ready for her to be so big yet. 18 months old is a big deal to me! So without further ado…..

Autumn is here!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And this week my Dad & StepMom are visiting for the first time since we moved here.
and AUTUMN IS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yay! We’ll be getting similar weather over here in Austin, and I could not be more excited about it…I’m even baking a pumpkin pie to celebrate!
Come on fall!

I know what you’re feeling.
Congrats on the arrival of “autumn”… though I gotta say, your autumn looks an awful lot like our “summer”!!!

I’m feeling soooo much of the beginning of your post lately too (every word up until the kids!). I can’t believe Addison is almost 18 months old already - how did that happen? Glad you are finally getting your “autumn” weather that you’ve been so anxiously awaiting, I hope it sticks around!

So sorry about your yucky day. I hope you’re on to brighter days ahead, especially with some cooler weather.
It’s so crazy to think about a birthday and a family day coming up. I distinctly remember reading on your blog about a birthday in Vietnam and an adoption only about 3 months ago. Right? OMG, time just flies when you get your baby home, doesn’t it?

Wow!! I can’t imagine those being FALL temps! LOL Although we’ve had some unseasonably warm weather here in New England (70s) lately, we’re supposed to be back to the “norm” of 50-60s by weeks end.
I’ve never visited the south - do you guys get any change of colors in your trees? We went shooting yesterday and captured some typical New England foliage.
Posted a whole slew on my blog this afternoon!

I am so sorry you are in a slump. I really hope you get to feeling better soon. Vent any time to me. I am still planning on writing you back, I am just slow and so behind on everything that sometimes I feel like I will never get caught up.

YAY for Autumn! (Actually, your autumn looks like my winters. :p)
I’m sorry you’re feeling so drained and down.

All the TX people are doing the happy dance about the cooler weather
Hope you feel happier soon. I definitely think that there is some sort of cosmic adoption slump going on with all of the waiting stress and the haters out in blog land. feel free to vent any time!

So Noodle how’d like today’s weather???
I am drop dead in love with it! Bright blue skies and low 70’s or even mid 60’s I think. Jeans and long sleeve TShirt. I could be outside forever in these temps

Sorry you are feeling the blues, I know I had those issues when my boys became teens. Fellow homeschooler here, drop by my blog someday if you find the time.

Blues…right there with you. But at least not blue AND sweaty, so that’s certainly something to celebrate!

I’m so sorry you’re in a slump. If it makes you feel any better I was in one today too. But for the opposite reason! I grew up in south Texas and didn’t even know what “Autumn” was until my late teens. I love Autumn but I’ve also learned that living up north (anything north of the “Mason-Dixon” line) means a lot of clouds and rain for more than 6 hours at a time! EW!!!! That depresses me more than anything else and it was like that ALL DAY TODAY here in the middle of Florida! I sure hope it’s back to hot and sunny by tomorrow!
Hope your weather fits you better now too!
