Touring the Gym with Addy (photo heavy)

Today we went to watch Addy and Daddy at gymnastics and I finally got an opportunity to take some pics. They aren’t wonderful quality because I had to take them from the outside viewing area and that meant taking them without a flash, indoors.

It’s been a month since I’ve taken Addy to gymnastics, myself, so I was really amazed to see her progress. First of all she absolutely loves it! She is learning so much and does an amazing job at following instructions, learning by watching (and then doing) and waiting her turn…..skills my boys developed around age 5! It is super-adorable to see her being such a good little learner and enjoying herself so much. I could just eat her up!

Ok, without further ado……

Warmups:

Yay! Good warm ups!
(yay! Good warmups!!!!!!!!)

Highbar: This takes place in a teeny tiny room way up high that is miraculous how parents can even fit up there!! See the room up there?

how do parents really fit in that teeny room?

(swinging on the high bar)

Ballpit - a reward for a job well done:

in the ball pit with daddy!

Trampoline: today the kids had to jump and land in a doggy pose. Doggy is one of Addy’s favorite games so this was right up her ally. Notice her one foot jump! She can occasionally jump with both feet now but that left foot is really stubborn

jumping (one footed :-))

dog pose

Balance Beam: today’s skill was walking backward

walk backward along the beam

Parallel Bars: todays skill was walking across the bars with both hands and feet.

fancy dismount?

Crawl through the tunnel:

Spring Board: always way above the kids’ abilities!!

Rings: Last week was the first week Addy got to hang unsupported becuase it is considered unsafe until 18 months old. Because we estimate her birthday is likely at least two weeks after her actual birth day, we went ahead and let her do it last week. She LOVES it!!!!!!!!!!!! And look how long she is - I can’t believe she can touch the ground!!!

Rings - a new favorite

And finally, last but not least - THE BUBBLES!!!!!!! When Tony said it was almost bubble time, Addy ran over to the bubble area and just stood and waited on attention. She LOVES the bubbles and then the stamp she gets on both feet for a job well done!

Bubbles - the grand finale

You know, you and your husband are such wonderful parents :)

Before I thought Addy will be a brilliant engineer, now I think she might also be an Olympian.

18-month old kids capable of following instructions and waiting in line !?! So cool.
