My Favorite Things Countdown - Day 24: The Learning Tower
The Little Partners Learning Tower - retails for around $170 including shipping
I always wanted one of these and this past year I finally bought one for Addison and Noah. It lives in our kitchen at the Island although its nice and easy to push around where needed.
So what in the world is it? Simplified, it is a “safe” climbing platform so that little ones can participate at counter-level with any cooking or other project going on. It also contains them so they can’t fall and it is adjustable so as your child grows, the height of the tower is lowered to keep them at the same level with the counter tops.
Addison has loved the LT since day one. Of course she loves using it as it was intended. She is close enough to help us cook and stay busy at the counters while we are busy in the kitchen. She feels like she’s part of meal prep which means its easier to make meals. It is also a little more difficult to push around than a chair so she can’t easily push it around and get into trouble
Some added bonuses are that she uses it as a jungle gym. She has always loved climbing into it herself and has been able to swing out of it herself for several months. You can also put the included cloth over the top of it to make it into a fort or playhouse. Really the uses are endless - those are just what Addison has used it for so far.
This thing is really nicely made, solid wood, sturdy and cleans easily. It’s a purchase I definitely do not regret.

I saw one of those at a store recently and really wanted it. Actually Sophie Lu (waitingforsophie.blogspot.com) has one and uses it quite often for her “Sophie’s Cooking Show” videos. Haha. It looks like so much fun to be able to involve kids in real life activities without worrying that they’ll fall off a chair or stool!
