Happy Birthday Tony! Do you think that as Lucy and Addison get older that they look more and more alike? They do to me and a friend of mine who loves to read blogs randomly told me that “The little girl on the Stepping on Legos blog looks a lot like Lucy.” It was funny to me because I see some of your pictures of Addy and I really think that they look alike.

Happy birthday to Tony! What’s better than birthday hugs and kisses from your sweet girl, huh? I love hearing Addy talk — her accent is precious. She’s starting to sound a little Texan to me. Kelly, do you hear it??? LOL.

Haha - Susan, I was just talking about that last night at dinner. I hear it! I don’t know where on earth she gets it with my apparently insanely strong Michigan accent and the total *lack* of accent in my city (we are all transplants) but I do hear it!

Nicki, I’m going to have to email Kelly to ask her if she hears a Texan accent. I didn’t think about the fact that she’d already left a comment before me and may not come back to this post to see my question. It’s funny that you hear it, too. Although my family is all from Louisiana, we never had much of an accent (well, I do now that I’ve been in Tennessee for years) but my oldest nephew had a HUGE southern drawl that would just crack you up. His mom is even a transplant from another continent so we know he didn’t get it from her. Every word was at least three syllables long. He lost the accent when he was around 6 or 7, so you just never know what to expect. Regardless, I love hearing Addy talk. I’m sure you do, too.
