Tree#2: The Traditional Tree

This is the one where our gifts go :-) Every year we each get a new ornament that represents the year past. When we had chickens, we got a rooster. When we moved, we got a “new house” ornament. When we went to Vietnam we got an ornament that says Merry Christmas in Vietnamese. This year we got an armadillo :-) Each kid has a new ornament every year too, dating back to their very first Christmas. Very simple, very traditional. Lights used to be white (my favorite) but I finally caved and let Tony have his colored lights.

Each year the youngest child gets to put on the tree topper. This year was Addy’s first turn (she was too tiny last year). She was very excited!

I love all kinds of Christmas trees, but the Traditional tree is my favorite by far. It’s the one that, in my opinion, is full of so many memories and warmth. Your traditional tree looks perfect!

Addison looks like she took her job very seriously while she was topping the tree, and then she looks quite pleased with herself afterwards. Sweet, sweet girl.
