Addy’s First Haircut
After swearing I would NEVER cut Addy’s hair, I got a wild hair the other day and dragged (drug? drugs? something!) all my kids off to the mall 4 days before Christmas for haircuts. Super smart, doncha think?
So I got Addy’s hair trimmed. I told the stylist “Look, only cut it so I can’t tell or I will cry”. I think she got it
Addy liked the experience which is no surprise - she is a big fan of primping. I was a little nervous for her, though, becuase I’d hoped Noah would go first so she could watch and learn. Instead I just threw her up and there and she had no idea what was coming. She’s a pretty go-with-the-flow kid most of the time. She was very curious about all of it though.
Later during Noah’s cut another nearby little girl had her hair blown out and when it was done, Addy started clapping and cheering for her! Haha. She thinks the salon is very exciting, I guess.
Before - serious “bedhead” from her hairties:
Kicking back, watching videos:
Watching herself in the mirror was WAY more exciting than the dumb video:

She looked so pretty, we had to buy a big new bow for her hair and go for her first carousel ride:
Then Dalton bought us all a Candy Cane flavored Dippin’ Dots to share on the mall patio on the lovely 80 degree day. Man, life is ROUGH in Houston in December! haha
