Today Addy started in with the “mom”. I was right in my prediction last week that Mama, which recently gave way to “Mommy” would probably leave in favor of “Mom” in just a week. Sad.

So here’s the scene:

Tony and I sitting across the room from each other trying to have a conversation while Addy sits in the middle, on the floor, looking at a picture book.

Every.Single.Time I opened my mouth she screamed “MOM” at me and demanded that I , instead, name whatever object in her picture book she as pointing to. If I ignored her and kept talking, she’d just become more insistent and louder “MOM MOM MOM MOM MOM”.

Good times. Good times.

I really need to get some new videos taken and up on the site. She has been in Prime Goof Mode for days now. One of my favorite things is when she sings along to the Hula-Hoop song from Alvin & The Chipmunks. There is not a single recognizable word in her entire song which sort of makes it funnier.

In general, she has just figured out how to be the center of attention no matter what. Today while Tony talked on the phone to my Dad, she stood over him and repeatedly tried to pull her nose off (alternated with pulling his nose off) which also contained lots of loud sound effects. She will do anything weird or loud or just generally goofy to distract us from what we are doing. And it always works!

For awhile now she does this funny game where she’ll say our name over and over - slowly at first and then faster and faster until it all runs together. Impossible to describe, must see on video. She is just too silly all the time now.
