The mornings are crispy cold. Of course this *is* Africa, so we really don't know what real cold is like, but still, the houses here aren't centrally heated, or very well insulated at all, so you get out of bed and unless you have a heater blasting nearby, you're breathing 'smoke'. :) I miss those lazy summer days by the pool. Oh yes, I also wanted to tell you that our labrador retriever, when we first moved here, didn't want to go near the pool, and actually fell in the first day we were here. Now she takes these HUGE leaps in, like a flying blonde thing, and all because we started tossing a ball in and she just went for it. She's now in the pool even in the winter because she-can't-resist-chasing-the-ball. It's great exercise for her too. I'm sure your retriever will soon be splashing alongside!
