I used to wear earrings all the time but now they hurt when I put them in and it just gets worse the longer I wear them. Weird and sort of depressing... who knew my ears would change with age?! (You can get them cheap at places like Target.) You probably have a nickel allergy or sensitivity to other metals. Heck, someone I know can only wear 18K gold so you never know! That probably sounds prissy, but anything else and I get the red, warm lobes that signal an infection coming on. I can wear actual gold indefinitely.
