I can’t help myself
I know, I KNOW!!!!!!! But ok I already admitted that my VERY FAVORITE thing about the election season is the endless parodies. I love them. And all you Jon Stewart lovers – you know you do too. And I’m an equal opportunist. I SWEAR! But this one….oh man…I’m lucky I didn’t wind up in the hospital from the asthma attack brought on by the laughter….

Tina Fey is SO great at her Palin impersonation. Man I can not wait until Thursday’s debate. The VP debate really is must see TV. That is if they let Palin do the debate, wouldn’t be surprised if there was some Alaskan emergency that prevented her from attending.

I know…it’s. like. CHRISTMAS!
The funniest part was that in that parody, they did not even have to CHANGE some of the ACTUAL content of the Palin/Couric interview!
I cannot wait for Thursday.

I knew Tina Fey would do a good job, but OMG I am blown over by her impression! Her voice is spot on and like Rachel said above, they used some of the actual dialogue from the real intervew! Hilarious. Sad and scary, but hilarious.

Yeah. That is probably the funniest thing SNL has done in 10 years – at least 5. They probably had their writer’s meeting and started coming up with jokes for the skit and someone was like “just quote Palin. there is no way we could write anything that will be funnier than what she really said.”
The debate Friday had an estimated viewership of 57 million. That was on a Friday. Thursday is the biggest TV night. There are some estimates that the turnout for the VP debate could be 80 to 90 million.
At this point though, I won’t be surprised if she cancels. Hell- they’re talking aboutpushing Bristol’s shotgun wedding before the election as another distraction stunt to keep attention off of their campaign (and lies). Canceling the debte would be damaging, but not nearly as damaging as her showing up if she handles even a tenth as bad as she handled the Couric interview.

Ditto what everyone else said – I laughed so hard at this, and forced my mom (who claims she is sick to death of everything political now) to watch and she was cracking up too. I CAN’T WAIT FOR THURSDAY!!!!! (yeah, have I said that once or 100 times already???)

I saw a video clip of Sarah Palin trying to explain how living in close proximity to Russia (and Canada) gave her international experience and oh my god, I would be *very* afraid if her and McCain got elected! That said, it’s like me saying that because I used to live on a Peninsula that *that* gave me wonderful sailing experience because there were so many boats nearby!

Funny. Ridiculous, but funny. Almost as funny as Obama struggling to remember the name of the soldier on his bracelet or when he used a “lifeline” on a foreign policy question by saying Joe Biden knows a lot about that stuff. Sorry…also couldn’t help it.
